TXDPSPSB Level 2 Non-Commissioned Security Officer Certification Course
The TIER ONE TRAINING Level 2 Certification Course meets the regulatory requirements set forth by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau Administrative Rules and the Texas Occupation Code Title 10, Chapter 1702 for certification as a Level 2 Non-Commissioned Unarmed Security Officer. This program provides participants with the basic principals of the security industry using the State of Texas required materials. Once completed, participants receive the basic certificate required for submission to the State. This certificate is necessary to obtain a State license to be able to work legally as an unarmed security officer in the State of Texas.
Prerequisites: None.

TXDPSPSB Level 3 Commissioned Security Officer Certification Course
The TIER ONE TRAINING Level 3 Certification Course meets the regulatory requirements set forth by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau Administrative Rules and the Texas Occupation Code Title 10, Chapter 1702 for certification as a Level 3 Commissioned Armed Security Officer. This program provides participants with the basic principals of the security industry using the State of Texas required materials. Once completed, participants receive the basic certificate required for submission to the State. This certificate is necessary to obtain a State license to be able to work legally as an armed security officer in the State of Texas.

This program provides participants with the basic principals of the security industry using the State of Texas required materials. This certificate is necessary to obtain a State license to be able to work legally as an armed security officer in the State of Texas.

Level 5 School-Based Security Officer Certification Course
The TIER ONE TRAINING Level 5 Certification Course is the security equivalent to the SBLE (School-Based Law Enforcement) basic certification course. This program provides participants with the basic principals of school-based security operations. This course was developed to train school-based security officers in the areas that are fundamental to working in schools. The course includes topics such as the history of school-based law enforcement, juvenile law, bullying, suicide prevention, FERPA, legalities for responding to student crisis, identifying potentially dangerous persons in our schools, standard response protocol, relational practices, Texas Council on Family Violence and Child Exploitation, campus physical security best-practices, and covers Texas Education Code Chapter 37. This course is designed to provide security officers working in the educational environment with expanded knowledge and skills needed to be successful working in concert with school and community partners and explore new and different topics relevant to the work of a school-based security to prevent problems, create safe environments, and divert youth from the juvenile justice involvement. Once completed, participants receive the basic certificate required for submission to the State.

40 Hour School Security Officer Training
The TIER ONE 40 Hour School Security Officer Training is the training that every one of our Tier One officers in the field undergo before deployment. Within 40 hours, this curriculum covers General Security Code review, Child and Adolescent Development and Psychology, Non-Violent Dispute Resolution, Legal Considerations including Title IX, Landmark Education Cases, Student Behavioral Health Needs, Mental Health Crisis Intervention in Schools, Student Mentoring and Staff Development, School Safety & Security Audits, Multi-Hazard Operations Plans, Emergency Response Procedures, Active Shooter Training, Handgun Safety, Non-Lethal Self-Defense, Bullying and much more.
